The Power Of Concentration

Habits Of Excellence

Human excellence can be learned. So study the high achievers that you emulate because anything that anyone else can do, you can also learn how to do at least equally as well.

Successful people all have several habits in common. One of which is the habit of concentrating on one thing at a time. Whereas your average person spreads their time and energy over many tasks. Many of which are low priority tasks, while the ones that will make their dreams come true never get completed.

“We Become What We Think About”*

In The Strangest Secret {<Free Audiobook} Earl Nightingale talks about one of the most important mental and spiritual laws of mind ever discovered, which is whatever we think about most of the time, we become.

Since thoughts are things, your outer world is a reflection of your inner world. Your thoughts can make you happy or sad, confident and determined, and rich or poor because whatever you focus on, you just get more of.

This is why I’ve often quoted Jim Rohn who said, “if you want to be wealthy, study wealth.” When you study wealth, you focus on it, and you develop a money consciousness which is the first step to riches.

Money Is Freedom

The best self-help book that I know of to help you achieve a money consciousness is Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind {<Free Copy} by T. Harv Eker.

I talk a lot about getting rich because when you are poor and in debt, you are miserable. And when you are financially independent, you are free to enjoy life, develop your talents, and pursue your life’s purpose. It is not about the money or status, it’s about being happy.

The Power Of Imagination

Your thoughts trigger images, pictures, and visions, and the resulting emotions that go with them. These visions and feelings then trigger attitudes and actions. And your actions then determine what happens to you.

When you think about success and happiness, you feel empowered to happily get to work on your goals. And you also perform better at whatever you do.

Attitudes And Emotions

Whether you have a positive or negative mental attitude is often based on past experiences about how you think things are supposed to be.

When you use the law of assumption, you act your way into feeling in a manner that is consistent with how you really want to be. In other words, by acting as if you were already happy, confident, and successful, you soon begin to feel that way on the inside. Then you start to take the corresponding actions.

Questions Are The Answer

The law of belief states that whatever you believe, with conviction, becomes your reality. Human beings always act in a manner that is consistent with their most intensely held beliefs. And all of your beliefs were learned.

Your beliefs determine your reality. You don’t believe what you see, but rather you see what you believe. Therefore, you can question and change your self-limiting believes into empowering ones.

You would be wise to watch The Secrets Of Belief {<Free Video} with Ernest Holmes.

You Are A Magnet

Through the powers of the law of attraction, you always attract into your life the people, ideas, opportunities, and circumstances that are in harmony with your dominant thoughts.

When you think positive, happy, and successful thoughts, you create a force field charged full of electromagnetism around you that attracts unto you the very things that you are thinking about.

Choose Your Thoughts

Truly successful people think better thoughts than the average person. They plant better seeds of thought in the fertile soil of their minds, and so they reap a greater harvest. This is the law of cause and effect.

They concentrate on doing one thing at a time until they have mastered it, or until it is completed. These are the lords of self-discipline whom we all admire so much.

They put everything behind a single objective. Then they keep that train of thought on track until they reach their destination. After that, they set new goals for themselves.

In The Magic Of Believing {<Free Audiobook}, Claude Bristol states that, “thought is the original source of all wealth, all success, all material gain, all great discoveries and inventions, and of all achievement.”

What about you? Do you know exactly what it is that you want from life? Do you have a plan for getting it? If not, then set that goal with the determination to back it up.

“Put all your eggs in one basket. Then stand by to see that no one kicks the basket over.”**

Remember that your only limitations are those that are in your own mind. Concentrate on becoming all that you were meant to be, and you’ll be unstoppable.

How To Use The Law Of Belief

People Believe Only What They Want To Believe

People often argue or fight about what they believe in because their beliefs give them a form of tunnel vision. So they block out any new information that isn’t consistent with what they have already decided to believe.

The more adamantly you believe something to be true, the more it is true for you. Therefore whatever you believe becomes your reality. In other words, you don’t always believe what you see, but you do often see what you believe.

“Belief Creates The Actual Fact”*

For example, if you fully believe that you were meant to be successful or wealthy, then no matter what obstacles get in your way, you will press on toward your goals. You will become unstoppable.

Conversely, if you believe that riches are just a matter of good luck, then you’ll give up easily when you reach a roadblock. This is why the essential first step to riches is to develop a money consciousness.

Because the law of attraction is a very real universal law, when you have false beliefs about money, such as “when you’re rich, people only love you for your money”, then you actually push wealth away.

A great free self-help book that can help you to achieve a money consciousness is Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind {<Free Copy} by T. Harv Eker .

Plus, when you master the law of assumption by assuming the role of the type of person that you long to be, your subconscious and your nervous system feel and believe that it is true. Then you start to produce results and manifest opportunities that you never could before.

Become An Optimist

Optimists are usually positive and happy. They react constructively to life’s daily ups and downs. They work cheerfully towards their goals instead of giving up because of their fears.

This is why Napoleon Hill in Think And Grow Rich {<Free Copy} puts a positive mental attitude at the top of his list of laws of success.

“I’ve Had A Lot Of Worries In My Life, Most Of Which Never Happened”**

Fears are false evidence appearing real. They hold you back from even trying to accomplish your dreams by paralyzing you. And they cause you to see things that aren’t even real.

That’s because whatever you believe, if you believe it strongly enough, becomes your reality. Even if your beliefs are totally false, by believing them, they become true for you.

Never Underestimate Yourself

Because of the self-limiting beliefs from your past, you probably have no idea what you’re really capable of accomplishing.

Remember that your nervous system is far more powerful than any computer. And your subconscious mind is in tune with the Infinite Intelligence of the universe.

Therefore refuse to limit your potential. You can do far more than you ever thought possible, if you believe you can, so go for gold.

Most of your false beliefs are just that – false. They’re based on negative input that you may have taken in and accepted as a child or as a teenager as true.

For example, many teens falsely believe that it’s cool to smoke or take drugs. But years later, they realize that they were just a fool to think it’s cool. Unfortunately, I was one of them.

And once you accept something as true, it hardens into fact for you. But you also have the power to change your beliefs at will. For instance, I changed what I thought was cool – into reading, learning, and growing as a human being.

Which is why I’m here now, and can share with you the best self-help book on the power of the beliefs that there is, The Magic Of Believing {<Free Audiobook} by Claud M. Bristol.

And remember that “whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.”**

Best of luck… and I believe in you, – Herb.
