This American author, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker has inspired generations of those in pursuit of success, wealth, and improvement. Along the way he helped to build the foundation upon which today’s self-help empire is built.

One of the most famous and best-selling authors of all time, Hill influenced millions of people around the world through his books, movies, lectures, courses, and as a personal consultant.

Born in the mountains of Virginia, Hill grew up in poverty. His mother died when he was 9 years old, and his father remarried. Fortunately, his step mother became a great influence upon the young Napoleon.

In his early teens, she helped him to get a typewriter, and encouraged him to start writing stories. Later, Hill became a reporter for a local newspaper.

Trying to support himself through law school as a journalist, and at the age of 25, Hill undertook his fateful interview with the steel magnate Andrew Carnegie.

Supplying him with letters of introduction, Carnegie urged Hill to analyze and interview over many of the most successful people, inventors, entrepreneurs, and self-made multimillionaires of his era.

After more than 20 years of research and interviews, and after touring throughout the US presenting it as a lecture for several years, Hill published his eight volume work The Law Of Success in 1925.

After interviewing over 500 of the most incredibly successful people, Hill published his best-selling Think And Grow Rich in 1937.

Including the “Carnegie Secret” and his philosophies of achievement, this wealth-building classic has taught generations of people how to motivate themselves and others to achieve life, business, and financial success.

Hill taught that exterior forces have little to do with wealth and success. Rather, by taking control of your thoughts and attitudes of mind, you can program yourself for success in all its forms.

Indeed, it’s an exciting adventure when you strive to reach your goals, and make your dreams come true by becoming all that you can become, and all that you were meant to be.

Napoleon Hill is one of my favorite masters of self-help. In fact, my most favorite self-help book of all time is Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude {<Free Copy} which he co-wrote with W. Clement Stone.

The team also made many literary contributions to Success Unlimited. A new thought magazine originally published by Orison Swett Marden in 1897. Re-launched in 2007 by Darren Hardy as Success Magazine, which published a in depth history of Napoleon Hill titled “Rich Man, Poor Man”.

Napoleon Hill died 8 November 1970. He had been married three times, and had three children.

Fortunately, Napoleon Hill’s many words of wisdom will long out live him. I’ve included links to free self-help books, audios, & videos whenever possible.
