10 Steps To A Positive Mental Attitude

Since thoughts and feelings have a magnetic pull that attract like unto themselves out of the quantum field, the benefits of developing and maintaining a PMA are many.

In fact, stripped of all non-essentials, life itself boils down to two major divisions: good and bad, positive and negative, heaven and hell.

Logically, it makes sense that any activity undertaken with a PMA will go a lot better than with a NMA, yet still most people struggle. And that’s because of negative past conditioning that became habit.

But, like everything else in life, developing a PMA is learnable. Then through frequent use it becomes a habit.

Here’s 10 Steps to a PMA.

1.Take Control Of Your Own Mind.

Realize that you have the power to choose which thoughts you entertain and dwell upon. If you’re in the habit of thinking negatively then decide today to change it. When a negative thought enters your mind shake it off, and say, “change it.” Then focus on the good in every situation.

2. Stay Determined To Focus Your Mind Only On What You Want.

It’s the basics of the law of attraction that your dominant thoughts usher in related feelings. Then those thoughts and feelings attract more of the same into your life. Therefore, when you focus on what you don’t want – you only get more of it. So, train your mind to focus only on what you want.

3. Flush Negative Thoughts From Your Mind By Monitoring Your Feelings.

Since your thoughts determine your feelings, the best way to monitor your thoughts is to be aware of how you’re feeling. When you find yourself feeling discouraged, depressed, frustrated, or unhappy, laugh at yourself for letting negative thoughts enter your mind – then flush them into the void.

4. Set Goals.

Decide exactly what it is that you want to be, do, and have. Then put it in writing. The true power of goals lies in the fact that they get you to focus on what you want – not on what you don’t want.

5. Meditate And Visualize.

Now that you’ve defined what it is that you want, dream about it frequently. Relax deeply, especially upon awakening and before falling asleep. Then in your mind’s eye see your goals, and feel them as though they have already come true.

6. Decide To Be Happy.

The best way I’ve found to be happy is simple – ask yourself what you have to be happy about and grateful for. Go for a brisk walk, and come up with long lists of answers for both questions. By the end of your walk, you’ll be on top of the world. Of course, when you’re happy, you’ll also make others happy.

7. Learn To Forgive And Be Tolerant.

We’re all only human. Therefore, we’ve all done stupid and mean things, and we’ve all made mistakes. When you can forgive yourself and others, the wounds heal. When your tolerant with yourself and others, you are more relaxed. Then in your wisdom, you manifest positive things.

8. Use Positive Affirmations.

W. Clement Stone, who along with Napoleon Hill, co-wrote my favorite self-help book Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude {<Free Copy} was well known for saying, “I feel healthy! I feel happy! I feel terrific!” Repeated affirmations tap into the power of your subconscious mind, making the affirmation become your reality. It’s no surprise that Stone lived to be 100 years old.

9. “Assume A Virtue If You Have It Not.”*

It’s the basics of the law of assumption that when you act enthusiastically, for example, you then become enthusiastic. So, when you start to act as though you are happy – you then become happy. Stand tall, breath deeply, and put a smile on your face, then ask yourself what you have to be happy about.

10. Use The Power Of Prayer.

Even if you don’t believe in a God of some sort, you can still pray to your subconscious mind. Praying is incredibly powerful when done with the faith and gratitude that your prayer has already been answered. When done properly, you are sure to get what you pray for, or something even better.
